Ways to donate to the future of this trail
1. Help us build more trail!
A donation of $100 will allow a metre of trail to be added to the
spectacular Wild Pacific Trail. Donations of $1,000 or more
will be recognized by name and the number of metres they have
contributed to on a special plaque.
2. Partners and funders for land purchase
The WPTS has a fund for the purchase of land to protect the green space near the Wild Pacific Trail. The trail itself has been set aside by the community of Ucluelet for public use and enjoyment, but some of the land near the trail is privately owned. Help us purchase sections of currently undeveloped land as park space! We are interested in partners in such an effort in cooperation with the district of Ucluelet. If land does not get purchased funds donated will be allocated to future expansions to the Wild Pacific Trail.
3. Benefactor
We are also looking for visionary sponsors to purchase acreage lots to create wilderness park land to preserve the trail in its natural setting. The coastal rainforest is a very fragile ecosystem, especially vulnerable to human impact. It is therefore our goal to preserve as much of this environment as possible with the added benefit of showcasing the coastline to hikers.

Green space campaign A new fundraising initiative by the Wild Pacific Trail Society
hopes to purchase a 13 acre parcel of land zoned for a resort development
to expand the adjacent park rich with old growth trees.

- an outdoor hiking experience that is free and appropriate for all fitness levels, for many generations to come.
- a trail corridor that preserves a natural setting and enhances the walking experience through interpretive signage about culture, history and nature.
| Thank you to all our generous funders: the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust, the Creek Bed Foundation via Tides Canada, the National Trails Coalition, the Government of B.C., the District of Ucluelet, the Wild Pacific Trail Society and private land owners such as Ocean West. The Wild Pacific Trail began in 1999, with contributions from the Government of Canada, Western Economic Diversification Canada, Community Futures Development Corp., Interfor, and Weyerhaeuser Co. Ltd. Special thanks to the many local businesses and individuals who have generously volunteered time and materials to make this trail a reality. Ongoing support from west coast communities and visitors who enjoy this trail will ensure the completion of this outstanding project. This trail would not be possible without the support of the District of Ucluelet, private land owners, Ucluelet First Nations, Provincial & Federal governments. |
